Privacy at a glance

What we collect

Your name, company, business e-mail, phone number and country, the machine or process you are interested in, and the message, drawings or specifications you choose to send us — plus basic technical data such as IP address and browser type.

Why we use it

To answer your enquiry, prepare a quotation, provide technical support, ship equipment, and meet our accounting, tax and export-control obligations.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers that keep this website and our e-mail running, the carriers that deliver your order, and public authorities where the law requires it. We never sell or rent personal information.

Your choices

You can ask for a copy of your information, have it corrected or deleted, or object to a particular use at any time. Write to sales@lyafs.com and we will respond within 30 days.

Who we are

3D Printing Technology, Inc. (“3DPTEK”, “we”, “us”) is an industrial 3D printing equipment manufacturer and rapid-casting service provider. Our registered office is at No.7 Jin Yi Street, Shunyi District, Beijing, China, and we operate the website www.lyafs.com together with its translated language versions.

For the purposes of the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and comparable laws, 3DPTEK is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. We are a business-to-business company: we use the information you give us to quote for, sell and support industrial equipment and casting services, not to profile consumers.

This policy covers personal information collected through our websites, quotation and contact forms, e-mail and telephone conversations, trade fairs, and our sales, shipping and after-sales activities. It does not cover the practices of third-party websites that we link to.

1. Information we collect

We keep collection to the minimum we need to answer a technical enquiry and to run our business. In practice there are three sources.

Information you give us

  • Contact details — your name, company name, job title, business e-mail address, telephone number and country. Our quotation and contact forms ask for these fields so that a sales engineer can reply to you directly.
  • Enquiry details — the machine, material or process you are interested in, the part or application you describe, target quantities, delivery location, and any drawings, CAD files or specifications you choose to send with your message.
  • Business correspondence — the content of e-mails, form messages and call notes exchanged with our sales, engineering and service teams, together with quotations, orders, contracts, invoices, shipping documents and warranty records.
  • Download and event data — the technical documents you request and the webinars, open days or trade fairs you register for, where registration is required.

Information collected automatically

  • Server log data — IP address, date and time of the request, the page requested, the referring page, browser type and version, operating system and device type. Our hosting provider records this to deliver pages and to protect the site against abuse.
  • Language and display preferences — the language you selected, stored in a cookie so that the site opens in the same language on your next visit.

Information we receive from others

  • Distributors, agents and trade partners may pass your business contact details to us when you ask them about a 3DPTEK machine or a rapid-casting service.
  • Public sources such as company websites, trade registers and professional networks, where we need to confirm that a business enquiry is genuine or to check an export-control requirement.

What we do not collect

We do not ask for — and do not want to receive — special categories of personal data such as health, biometric, religious or political information. Our forms never ask for payment card numbers, and no file-upload field is active on this website. Please do not send us this kind of information.

2. How we use your information

We use personal information only for the purposes below, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.

  • Answering your enquiry — reading your message, matching it to the right product or process, and replying with technical advice.
  • Preparing quotations and proposals — costing a machine, a material set or a casting project and sending you the offer.
  • Performing our contracts — taking your order, arranging production, shipping and customs clearance, installing equipment, training operators and providing spare parts, warranty and after-sales service.
  • Business communication — telling you about new machines, materials, service capabilities and technical guides where you have asked us to, or where we have a legitimate interest as a business contact. You can stop these messages at any time.
  • Running and securing the website — keeping the site online, diagnosing errors, preventing spam and abuse, and understanding which pages and downloads are useful to visitors.
  • Meeting our legal duties — accounting, tax, customs, product-safety and export-control record keeping, and enforcing or defending legal claims.

3. Legal bases for processing

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases. Our own processing also complies with the Personal Information Protection Law of the People’s Republic of China.

If we add analytics later

Should we introduce website analytics or advertising tools, we will update this policy, list the new cookies here, and ask for your consent first where the law requires it.

5. When we share information

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We disclose it only in the limited situations below, and every service provider acts on our written instructions.

  • Hosting and IT providers — the companies that host this website and store its server logs, and the providers that maintain our servers, networks and e-mail, who may access data only to keep those systems working.
  • Communication and translation services — the e-mail and translation tools we use to reply to you in your own language.
  • Carriers, freight forwarders and insurers — the consignee name, address and contact details needed to deliver and insure your shipment.
  • Payment and finance partners — the banks and payment providers that process a business transaction with your company.
  • Professional advisers — accountants, auditors, customs brokers, patent attorneys and lawyers, where their advice requires it.
  • Public authorities and courts — where we are legally required to disclose information, including customs and export-control authorities.
  • A successor organisation — if our business or part of it is merged or sold, information may transfer to the buyer under this same policy.

We never share your technical drawings or specifications with another customer, and we treat customer project data as confidential business information.

6. International transfers

Our company, our engineering team and our manufacturing facilities are in China. If you contact us from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, the United States or elsewhere, the information you send is transferred to and stored in China so that our engineers can answer you.

Where personal data of individuals in the EEA or the UK is transferred to us, we put in place appropriate safeguards — including the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum where they apply — together with technical and organisational measures such as encryption in transit. You can ask for a copy of the relevant safeguards using the contact details below.

7. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected for, and then delete or anonymise it.

Record How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to an order Up to 24 months after our last contact with you, then deleted
Quotations and proposals Up to 24 months, so that we can honour or revise a price you were given
Orders, contracts, invoices, shipping and warranty records For the duration of the business relationship and for as long as Chinese accounting, tax, customs and product-liability law requires — normally up to 10 years
Server and security logs Up to 12 months
Marketing contact details Until you unsubscribe or object; we then keep only a suppression record so that we do not contact you again by mistake
Cookies As shown in the cookie table above, or until you delete them

8. How we protect information

Every page on this website is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Access to enquiry and customer records is restricted to the employees and partners who need it for the purposes described above, our website software is kept current and backed up routinely, and our team is instructed to treat customer project data as confidential.

No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Please do not send us drawings, tooling data or specifications that you are not authorised to share, and contact us first if you would prefer to exchange files through a secure channel.

9. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights over the personal information we hold about you.

  • Access — be told whether we hold information about you and receive a copy of it.
  • Rectification — have inaccurate or incomplete information corrected.
  • Erasure — ask us to delete information we no longer need or no longer have a lawful reason to keep.
  • Restriction and objection — ask us to pause a particular use, or object to processing based on our legitimate interests, including direct marketing.
  • Portability — receive the information you gave us in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Withdraw consent — at any time, without affecting processing carried out before you withdrew it.
  • Complain — lodge a complaint with your national or regional data-protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, e-mail sales@lyafs.com with the subject line “Data request” and tell us what you would like us to do. We reply within 30 days, or within 45 days where the law allows, and we may ask you to confirm your identity before we act. Exercising your rights is always free of charge.

Our answer to “do you sell my data?”

No. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles. That is why this site shows no cookie-consent banner.

10. California and other US state rights

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, the purposes for which we use it and the categories of third parties to whom we disclose it; the right to request deletion or correction; the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information (we collect none); and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

We honour equivalent requests from residents of other US states with similar privacy laws. The categories we collect and the purposes we use them for are exactly those listed in sections 1 and 2 of this policy, and the third parties are those listed in section 5. To make a request, use the contact details in section 13.

11. Children, external links and tracking signals

Children

Our website, machines and services are intended for businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe that a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Links to other websites

Some of our pages link to third-party websites, such as industry associations, video platforms or material suppliers. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we do not control; please read their policies before providing personal information.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

We do not track visitors across other websites, so our site behaves the same whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. If we ever introduce cross-site tracking, we will honour those signals.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services, our suppliers or the law change. The “last updated” date at the top of this page always shows the current version, and we will highlight any material change on this page before it takes effect. Continuing to use the website or work with us after an update means you accept the revised policy.
