3DPTEK-J2500
Foundry Production PlatformThe production workhorse for large mold packages — big enough for engine blocks and cylinder heads, fast enough for daily series output.
From compact R&D systems to 4-meter production-class machines, 3DPTEK designs and builds the industry’s most complete portfolio of Binder Jetting, SLS, SLM, and gradient-material 3D printers — proven every day in our own foundries before they reach your factory floor.

Patternless sand molds, investment-casting wax, dense production metal, and bimetallic gradient parts — 3DPTEK covers the full industrial additive manufacturing spectrum with machines proven in our own foundries.

Produce complex sand molds and cores directly from CAD — no patterns, no tooling, no pattern storage. Build envelopes from 1.8 m to 4.4 m in one piece.

CO2-laser sintering delivers fine detail and a smooth finish — and the same platform switches between coated sand and wax for maximum flexibility.

Print investment-casting wax patterns with no tooling and cast them in days instead of months — ideal for complex internal passages and low-volume series.

Full laser melting of metal powder produces dense, high-strength parts for aerospace, medical, energy, and tooling — including dual-material gradient systems.

Metal Binder Jetting is the low-cost path to serial metal production — high throughput, a wide alloy range, and no support structures to remove.

Print molds up to 4.4 m in a single pass, or build bimetallic components with material properties tailored across the part — no other vendor matches this range.
We build all four industrial core processes, so you get an unbiased recommendation — not a sales pitch for a single technology.
Printheads deposit binder into sand, metal, or ceramic powder layer by layer. Fast, scalable, and material-flexible — the workhorse for molds, cores, and serial metal parts.
Best for: foundry molds & high-volume metal Learn moreCO2 lasers sinter coated sand or wax with high precision and a smooth finish. One platform prints sand molds and wax patterns — a unique production advantage.
Best for: fine detail, sand + wax Learn moreFull laser melting of metal powder yields dense, high-strength parts for aerospace, medical, energy, and tooling — with in-house process validation.
Best for: dense production metal Learn moreDual-hopper metal printing creates bimetallic and functionally graded components — material properties tailored across the build for performance no single alloy can match.
Best for: bimetallic & graded parts Learn moreMost printer vendors sell machines. 3DPTEK runs 10 of its own production centers — so every printer is refined against real casting work before it ships to you.
10 manufacturing centers and 100,000 t of annual casting capacity — every machine is validated on live production work before you ever receive it.
Founded in 1994 with 320+ patents and 3 national standards. We are a technology company, not an assembler of imported parts.
Use your own sand, PA12, TPU, or metal powders. No mandatory consumables contract — you control your supply chain and costs.
Comparable capability to European systems at a significantly lower total cost — most customers reach payback within 12–18 months.
Design review, sample parts, installation, training, and process development — we stay until you are producing, not just until the crate is opened.
On-site commissioning, 3–5 day operator training, remote diagnostics, and spare parts shipped from our Beijing warehouse to Asia, Europe, and the Americas.
ISO-certified manufacturing, with parts verified by in-house CMM, X-ray, and spectrum analysis — quality you can audit, not just claim.
Built in our own facilities — shorter lead times and faster spare-parts response than overseas vendors, plus complete export documentation.
The machines our customers ask for most — each one a production-proven platform with full training, service, and material support.

The production workhorse for large mold packages — big enough for engine blocks and cylinder heads, fast enough for daily series output.

The largest SLS sand and wax printer in our range — switch between coated sand molds and wax patterns on one platform, in one day.

A cost-efficient entry into serial metal printing — supports a wide range of alloys with no supports to remove and high batch throughput.

Print bimetallic components with tailored material properties — a patented gradient supply system that gives you capabilities no single-alloy printer offers.

From automotive and aerospace to energy and art, our printers and foundries serve manufacturers who demand repeatable quality.
Straight answers on pricing, technology, materials, and support — from the people who build and run the machines.
Pricing varies by technology and build volume — from compact R&D systems to multi-meter production machines. The main cost drivers are build envelope, printhead or laser configuration, automation level, and materials. 3DPTEK prices competitively against comparable European machines, and most customers reach payback within 12–18 months. Send us your application for a tailored quote with sample-part printing on the exact machine you are considering.
Both produce sand molds without patterns. Binder Jetting (J-Series) uses printheads to deposit binder onto sand — faster for large molds with a lower operating cost. SLS (LaserCore) uses lasers to sinter coated sand, giving a better surface finish and finer detail, and also supports wax printing on the same platform. The right choice depends on your production volume versus detail requirements — we will help you decide.
Our printers support an open material platform. You can use third-party silica sand, ceramsite, PA12, TPU, and metal powders that meet our parameter specifications. We also offer more than 30 optimized material formulations developed over three decades of R&D. There are no mandatory consumable contracts, so you control your supply chain.
We provide comprehensive support including on-site installation and commissioning, operator training (typically 3–5 days), a 12-month standard warranty, remote diagnostics, spare parts supply from our Beijing warehouse, and optional extended service contracts. Our engineering team supports customers across Asia, Europe, and the Americas.
Standard lead time is 4–8 weeks from order confirmation, depending on model and configuration. Installation and commissioning typically takes 3–5 business days on-site. We handle all logistics including export documentation, customs clearance, and professional crating for international shipments.
Yes, we encourage it. Send us your CAD file and we will print sample sand molds, wax patterns, or metal parts on the exact equipment you are considering. This lets you evaluate print quality, material properties, and build speed before making a purchase decision.
