Long Yuan began as a SLLS equipment designer, developer and manufacturer in 1994. We manufacture SLLS equipment, material handling equipment, secondary process equipment, documentation, software licenses, custom powder material and licenses for using AFS supplied powdered sintering materials. To-date, Long Yuan had sold over 60 AFS SLLS systems via direct sales in China.

When laser is focused to a very short line, or a point, SLLS becomes SLS. Selective Linear Laser Sintering technology uses a CO2 laser to sinter layers of custom powder materials (thermal plastic, wax, and coated sand) direct from a 3D CAD file. A thin layer of powdered material is spread across the prototype sample via a roller system. The laser then traces a two-dimensional cross section of the part sintering the material together. This process continues, layer-by-layer, until the 3D part is built. Long Yuan developed its first SLS AFS System, AFS 300, in 1994. We have since launched our fourth-generation AFS 500 System in December 2004.

While developing and marketing AFS systems, Long Yuan also provides Rapid Product Development services, delivering everything from rapid prototypes to rapid parts and continuing to broaden its service offerings. Services currently offering include delivering the highest quality SLS and Cast Prototypes with best-in-class surface finishing, casting parts, and providing consulting support to optimize design-for-manufacture and to protect customer’s timelines. Developing rapid prototypes, rapid parts, rapid tooling and injection molding for a wide range of industries, Long Yuan serves the needs of product development teams that design mechanical prototypes. Long Yuan partners with designers and engineers to help bring better product to market faster. To ensure consistently fast delivery of the very best solutions, Long Yuan has been keeping over 5 rapid prototyping systems in house and book system time for systems sold to customers when for service orders received after in house systems have a full loads.
